Roman Blinds
Roman blinds are the most popular style of blind, possibly because they are very versatile and tend to suit all styles of home and can often be fitted in places where curtains may not be suitable. As well as looking neat and stylish, roman blinds are also very practical especially in rooms where you do not want fabric trailing on the floor, such as in a bathroom or kitchen. Roman blinds can be made with just lining, or a combination of interlining, and / or blackout lining to ensure the finished blind meets a client's requirements.
All blinds are supplied on a chain operated mechanism which conforms to BS EN 13120 – Child Safety For Blinds.
My Roman blinds are about 90% hand made, a machine is used just to prepare the linings. This gives a high quality finish to each blind, with just a few visible (hand) stitches on the face of the blind. To arrange a (free) home visit to discuss your individual requirements, or for more information please contact me.
Amy Joanne Interiors can provide fabric from a few select suppliers, whom in my opinion offer some unique and beautiful fabrics that you may not otherwise find on your local high street. Alternatively I can work with a fabric of your choice sourced by you.
Below are a few examples of the Roman blinds that I've made for my clients recently.
